Proof is in the Pudding

We are going to finish this series up this month with some statistics. I’ve been teaching in the newsletter over the past six months about returning to the beginning and investigating what the end will look like since Isaiah 46:10 tells us the end is declared out of the beginning. This month I would like to present to you some statistics that Barna Group took. Barna Group is a leading xtian researching firm who take surveys about religion, church, and other aspects of xtian and non xtian lifestyles. I have been beating the drum in all of these newsletters about the mixture and adding to and taking away from the Scriptures that man in the name of religion has done to the Word of our Creator. I would like to now source Barna Group in some recent surveys to see what kind of fruit is being produced by our preaching today. These were from their Top Trends of 2011 article.

When asked to identify the single most influential Christian leader in the U.S. today, two out of every five Americans (41%) are unable to think of anyone who would meet that description. Only Billy Graham, the Pope, Barack Obama and Joel Osteen were mentioned by more than 1 out of 50 adults as the most significant Christian leaders.

I think this one speaks for itself but will add that Y’shua said if he would be lifted up he would draw all men to him and what did he speak/teach when in the earth? Only what the Words of his Father and where were those words given? IN THE BEGINNING.

The Christian community is struggling to remain connected with the next generation of teens and young adults. 84% of Christian 18- to 29-year-olds admit that they have no idea how the Bible applies to their field or professional interests.

This is the next generation saying that they are clueless how the Scriptures pertain to a major aspect of their life. This is more evidence of the fruit being produced by our denominations today. We have removed the everyday functionality of the Scriptures in our lives and teach that we no longer really have to obey and being “saved” is going to a building 3 times a week and its all good. The mixture, brethren, has caused such a grey area in our lives that we can no longer discern the white and the black on the pages right in front of us!

Much of Barna Group’s work through the years has shown the rarity of lasting spiritual transformation in people’s lives. For example, among those who believe they are Christians, just one-fifth say they live in a way that makes them completely dependent on God. A similar proportion of Christians claim that the single most important decision they have ever made was to invite Jesus Christ to forgive them and become their savior. And just one-sixth of Christians say they are totally committed to engaging in personal spiritual development.

These numbers reveal the fruit and they don’t lie.  This is the fruit of disobedience brothers.  Why not obey from Gen to Rev?  What we’ve been teaching has brought us to where we are at today.  The message of xtianity for centuries teaches that the instructions/commandments of YHVH no longer apply, and we see what the fruit looks like .  Why not we try obeying and see what fruit it produces??
